To Gaza with Christian Aid




Worcester Palestine Friendship had the chance to arrange a public meeting on the 4th of June in the Old Palace, Deansway in Worcester where the Bishop of Worcester The Rt Rev Dr John Inge talked about his visit to Palestine and shared things he had seen and witnessed during that journey to the "Holy Land" as he prefers to call it.


"The most desperate place we visited was Gaza- a place to which very few people are able to go- which is effectively a vast prison for 1.6 million people. In the midst of it all there was hope." The Bishop of Worcester- Dr John Inge





In addition to the Bishop's speech, this event included a chance for people to see an exhibition of children's art from Atfaluna School for Deaf Children in Gaza City under the name of "Through the eyes of a child"





Besides, a stall full of Palestinian produce such as olive oil, black olives, green olives, za'atar, dates, soaps and embroidery. As well as some books and leaflets about Gaza and othe twinnings or partners in the same field.






CADFA (Camden Abu Dis Friendship Association) took part in this event as well.
