Worcester smiles for us ..

Worcester smiles for us ..

Worcester is a city and countryside of Worcestershire in the West Midlands of England. Worcester is situated some 30 miles (48 km) southwest of Birmingham and 29 miles (47 km) north of Gloucester, and has an approximate population of 100,000 people. The River Severn runs through the middle of the city, overlooked by the 12th-century Worcester Cathedral.

In this ancient city, Camille and Ibaa from CADFA met Colin and Lorna who started a twinning between Worcester in England and Khan Younis at Gaza strip in Palestine.

In August, CADFA, along with Worcester Palestine Friendship is arranging a project called Common Ground Project that will put 16 young people from the UK and 16 from Palestine together in Worcester during the period of 16- 29 August 2013. This visit is considered to be important and different because it brings people from Gaza for the first time to the UK and gathers them with other people from the West Bank. This visit will be under the theme of Musical work and performance, therefore, CADFA sent her volunteers to help Colin and Lorna in organizing this visit.
